$10,000 Hoffa Academic Scholarship
Congratulations to Tyler Morgan, son of Suzanne and 12-year Omni Air Captain Ron Morgan, who is the recipient of a $10,000 James Hoffa Memorial Scholarship award. Tyler is a 2022 high school graduate of JH Rose High School in Greenville, NC. He graduated Suma Cum Laude, and was involved in the National Honor Society, Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), History Honor Society, Tri M Music Honor Society, and the marching band.
Tyler is an Eagle Scout and a member of the “Order of the Arrow”, which is an Honor Fraternity by invitation in scouting. He attended Governor’s School, served as a Page in both the Senate and House of Representatives in the NC Legislature, worked as a “cart boy” at the local golf course and enjoyed being an active member of his youth group, youth choir and the Chancel choir at his church. His interests include history, music, golf and politics.
Tyler has chosen to attend the University of South Carolina (Go Gamecocks!) where he is studying Accounting and Supply Chain Management in the Darla Moore School of Business. When asked, Tyler said, “I am both humbled and honored to be a 2022 recipient of the prestigious James Hoffa Memorial Scholarship. I am grateful to the Union for this opportunity to further my education.”
